Fletcher Street Cottage

Fletcher Street Cottage is a service hub that provides support, information, referral and advocacy to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The cottage is a welcoming, safe and respectful space where people who are sleeping rough can come to enjoy simple, practical relief opportunities, find connections and access broader support.

Managed by the Byron Community Centre, there is a breakfast service every weekday, access to showers and laundry, and office support. Community Support Workers provide advocacy, referrals and emergency relief.

The 2021 community fundraising campaign raised $400K for the rebuild of the cottage and the operations are entirely donor funded.
